Awareness matters. But what happens after awareness matters too.

What happens after someone asks for help?
After law enforcement responds?
After a court becomes involved?
After intervention is ordered?
After someone is told that change is required?

There are people working in every part of that process — advocates, providers, courts, probation professionals, treatment professionals, and community organizations.

The work isn't simple. The systems aren't perfect.

But every successful intervention represents something statistics have a difficult time measuring:

The possibility of a different outcome.

That's why this conversation can't end with the numbers. And neither will ours.

Thank you for being part of this series.
